How I work

What this is, and what it isn’t

ACT helps you notice the patterns that keep you stuck and choose what to do differently.

Coaching is non-clinical, and I’ll tell you clearly if therapy would be a better fit.

We work together in a collaborative, forward-looking way. It can help when you’re facing change, pressure, indecision, or self-doubt, as well as many other situations, but it isn’t treatment for depression, OCD, trauma, or other mental health conditions. If what you need is clinical care, I’ll say so plainly and help you find the right support.

A practical skill for pausing before you react, not sitting in silence.

Why work with me

  • I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 10 years of experience.
  • I’ve facilitated MBSR- and MBCT-based mindfulness groups since 2018, first at Mindfulness Perú and later independently and with other organisations.
  • I co-designed and taught a year-long ACT training programme for mental health professionals across Latin America. Since 2020, I’ve trained more than 300 professionals.
  • I’ve led psychology-based workshops in schools, hospitals, and companies since 2016.
  • As co-founder of Humanity Tiles, I facilitated wellbeing workshops for teams at SOS Children's Villages Denmark, A.P. Moller–Maersk, and Dreamplan between 2025 and 2026.
  • In 2025, I helped lead an MBSR programme for university students in Stockholm as part of the RESONATE research project.

  • A simple, values-based way to approach decisions, boundaries, and priorities.

Q&A

Questions you may have before starting

Before you begin

Free 15-minute orientation call: what to expect?

A short, no-pressure conversation before you make any commitment.

  1. 01Where you are. You tell me what brings you to coaching and what you’d like help with.
  2. 02An honest view. I’ll tell you whether I think ACT coaching can help or whether another kind of support may suit you better.
  3. 03What happens next. If we decide to work together, we’ll choose a plan and agree on where to begin.

Do I have to be in crisis or distress to start?

No. You might be doing well in many parts of your life and still feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about what comes next. Coaching gives you space to understand what’s going on and work with it, one step at a time.

How it works

What happens in a 50-minute session?
0–10 minGrounding and check-in. We slow things down, check in on how the week has been, and review what you tried since our last session.
10–40 minWorking with one real situation. We look closely at one real situation: perhaps a conversation you’ve been avoiding, a decision you can’t settle, or a harsh inner critic. Then we use an ACT exercise to understand what’s happening and find a more helpful way forward.
40–50 minSomething to try during the week. We agree on one or two realistic actions for you to try before we meet again.
What happens between sessions?
Short practices (5 to 10 minutes a day). A guided audio or attention exercise you can fit between meetings or into your commute.
Simple reflection tools. Worksheets and questions that help you notice patterns as they show up in daily life.
A brief message when needed. If something important comes up between sessions, you can send me a quick note.
What skills will I practise?
01Be present. Notice when your mind replays the past or races ahead. Bring your attention back to what’s happening now.
02Open up. Make room for difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them. Notice them without letting them make every decision.
03Do what matters. Get clear on the person you want to be and take small, consistent steps in that direction, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Choosing a plan

How do I choose between Clarity, Foundation, and Flexibility?
  • Choose Clarity if you want help with one decision or crossroads over a few weeks.
  • Choose Foundation if recurring patterns keep getting in your way and you want time to build skills you can use in daily life.
  • Choose Flexibility if you’re going through a longer or more complex transition and want support as new habits take hold.
  • If you’re unsure, we can talk it through during the free 15-minute call. Most people begin with Clarity or Foundation.
What does coaching cost?

Is coaching right for me?

How does this differ from executive or life coaching?

Executive coaching often concentrates on goals, performance, and practical strategy. I also pay attention to the thoughts, emotions, and avoidance patterns that can get in the way, even when you already know what you should do next.

What if we discover during coaching that I need therapy?

If it becomes clear that therapy would be more appropriate, I’ll tell you honestly and help you find the right kind of clinical support.

Are you Peruvian and looking for clinical psychotherapy? Get in touch here.

Coaching, not psychotherapy

Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy or mental health treatment. If what you're going through calls for clinical care, I'm happy to point you toward the right support.

Curious whether this could help?

Tell me a little about what’s going on. We can look together at whether coaching feels like the right next step, with no pressure either way.
